It only takes one great line to grab their attention,

and one small misstep to lose it.

A solid sense of tone and timing in creating game dialogue is vital.

Without it, key scenes and revelatory moments can, and often will fall flat.

No matter how shocking or well-thought-out your plot points are if the conversations building up to them convey monotonous or confusing content, then the unbelievable may quickly turn uninteresting.

Whether building a story from the ground up or making script contributions to your established narrative, my role is to create dialogues that will not only engage and delight, but also aid in introducing game concepts, and assist in

making your world unforgettable,

The best way to create an enthralling interactive tale is to hire a writer to implement a narrative that compliments the rest of the development team's work, rather than complicating their workflow.

Radical Forge

“Working with Ant was awesome, he throws himself into any project he works on. His understanding of the process and willingness to adapt ideas and writing to the current state of the project is remarkable. Second to none. Radical Forge will be using Ant again!

Jacob Keane, Director

RUCE

"Ant did an amazing job writing for Babel: Tower to the Gods, he delivered a script that was well researched, witty and fitted perfectly with the game - all within a tight deadline! His writing added a level of polish and charm to the game that made it a dramatically better experience! He was a pleasure to work with, and I would love to work with him again in the future!

Super Punk Games

'Anthony was absolutely brilliant to work with and a creative force. He was so quick to get the concepts and ideas that we'd had for the game which he then took on board and made his own. His humour and imagination contributed greatly to the project and I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.'

JUST DEAL WITH IT

Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment

Developer: Super Punk Games

Voice Talent: Ian Champion

Releasing exclusively through the Sony Playstation 4 and Playlink systems, JUST DEAL WITH IT offers players a fresh take on five classic card games. I was taken on for the project because there’s a heavy influence on social play in JUST DEAL WITH IT, and the studio needed someone who could inject humour into the game’s voice while making the audience feel they were being spoken to on a personal level.

BABEL: TOWER TO THE GODS

Developer: RUCE

Voice Talent: Mark Whitten

One of a few VR projects I had worked on at RUCE was BABEL, a charming physics-based puzzle game, developed as a launch title for the HTC Vive VR system.

The game required a witty narrator to guide players through each stage and to build a realm of mythic tales around the playing stage. I had been brought in to work with the studio for a few months developing methods of interacting with players through fully immersive VR worlds.
